Recently, we wrote about how the year 2023 unfolded for the EvoTalents team: the challenges we faced, how we embraced challenges and strengthened our work, the team expansion and much more.

In this article, we want to continue the theme of life of our recruiting IT agency. We'll share our analytics for the end of 2023: how many vacancies we filled, successful actions that helped us, and how we grew compared to the two previous years. We can say right away that we are pleased with our development last year and already know that 2024 will be exceptionally crucial for us. We are ready for new challenges and exciting job opportunities!

Vacancies

Let's start by mentioning that in 2023 we closed 31% more vacancies than in 2022. We all remember how challenging the year 2022 was, so we are pleased that businesses were able to recover and continue growing in 2023. In turn, our Offer Acceptance Rate from candidates last year reached 80%.

The most successful months for closing vacancies in 2023 for us were February, May and August. Only in January we didn't close any vacancies, as both our clients and candidates were taking a break after the New Year holidays. This allowed our team to recharge and tackle 2023 with renewed energy [spoiler: we succeeded].

Out of all the vacancies we worked on in 2023, we closed 12% more than in 2021 and 35% more than in 2022.

The average time to close one vacancy in 2023 was 17 days. We also have winners in the "Fastest Hiring" category – Frontend Developer, Manual QA, and AQA roles were closed in just 7 days.

Regarding the number of candidates, on average, we closed vacancies with 6 presented IT specialists. Two positions, IT Development Lead and Manual QA, were filled with the first candidate. Additionally, we had the highest number of candidates presented – 39 for the Media Buyer position.

Income

2023 marked a period of financial expansion for EvoTalents. In comparison to 2021, our revenue grew by 20%. However, during the same period, our average rate decreased by almost 30%, compared to 2022. We analyzed this situation and identified the following reasons:

  • The salary level in Ukraine slightly decreased last year.
  • One of our major clients hired extensively but at a lower rate.
  • While we don't want to engage in market dumping, we presented several new, more affordable services to our clients.
  • In 2023, we worked extensively under the RPO system. This income was not considered in the average annual rate.

Speaking of RPO, our team worked 1974 hours under this system in 2023! If we calculate, it's almost 83 days without breaks. Four companies collaborated with us under RPO last year. The highest number of hours (503 and 431) were worked by Julia and Vadym, our recruiting partners.

Additionally, we started collaborating with 8 new clients. Recommendations from our former clients [thanks for your trust!] and marketing with lead generation worked best for us in 2023.

Team

In 2023, we developed a detailed organizational structure where we can now see all our departments, tasks, goals, and team members responsible for them. Moreover, in the past year we decided to expand not only our recruiting team but also create departments for promotion, sales, and PR [which we later implemented]. So, we can say that we worked productively not only on quality job placements for our clients but also for ourselves in 2023.

And here are the results we achieved:

  • New role: Lead Generation Manager;
  • New role: Brand Manager;
  • New COO (Chief Operating Officer);
  • +1 awesome Recruitment Partner;
  • +2 talented Sourcers;
  • Growth of two Recruitment Partners to Recruitment Leads;
  • 2 team offline meetings: in Lviv and Brussels.

Our goals for 2024: we aim to maintain the professional level of the team and constantly enhance competencies to be among the best in the market. Additionally, we are moving towards adding a Sales Manager to the team, and if necessary, we will expand the recruiting team.

Also: dreaming of meeting the entire team as in the good old times and spending a vacation together. The EvoTalents Team is currently working from various parts of the planet: Ukraine [Kyiv, Odesa, Dnipro, Lviv, Zhytomyr], Romania, Belgium and the United Kingdom.

Processes

Internal processes within the company also played a crucial role for us in 2023. We constantly generate new ideas, test hypotheses and enhance our expertise. This includes identifying weaknesses and transforming them into strengths. Systematic approach defines EvoTalents - we consistently work with clients and build internal processes according to this principle.

So, among the key innovations of 2023, we can highlight:

  • Fine-tuning the lead generation process.
  • Presentation of new service packages.
  • Separation of recruiting and sourcing functions.
  • Successful onboarding of new recruits in the team.
  • Implementation of a vacancy filling strategy.
  • Presentation of personal metrics for the entire team.
  • Description guide for each role in the team.
  • Commencement of active promotion in marketing and lead generation.
  • Development of Job Offers and payment review system.
  • Implementation of Demo Study for competency development.
