Our 2023
Our COO Yulia Koval and I (Founder at EvoTalents, Elena Volk) want to talk about the challenges and achievements of our team, the stages we've gone through, and the results we've achieved.
How It All Started
I believe the past two years have been challenging for all businesses, and we were no exception. The year began with the team returning from the New Year holidays, and we had 0 clients and job vacancies.
The entire team actively engaged in lead generation process. We did what each of us could do at that moment:
- Texted our past clients;
- Formulated hypotheses for finding new clients;
- Initiated cold outreach to IT companies in Ukraine.
This yielded initial results: gradually, two previous clients returned to us, and we began acquiring new ones.
During this period, we also started taking a more systematic approach to the sales process:
- Implemented a marketing report and started looking at and analyzing sources from which clients come to us;
- Deepened our lead generation and client database management in PipeDrive.
2023 - A Year of Changes for the Team
This year was a year of changes for us. But precisely because of these changes, we are where we are now.
The team underwent significant transformations. Some decided to take a different path, and we had to end collaboration with others. Each such change was very painful for the team. However, there were also exciting new hires, and now a new team has formed. New people joined the team in the positions of Lead Generation Manager and Brand Manager. A new COO also joined us, and our recruitment team now consists of three recruiters and two sourcers.
Two recruiters are currently transitioning to new roles - Recruitment Leads.
How Have Processes Changed?
During this period, we implemented many new processes and laid the foundation for further systematic growth. Let's go through the functions:
Finances:
- Introduced a financial triad and budgeting;
- Also implemented reporting on accounts receivable to better manage cash flow.
Our Services:
- Reviewed the product lineup and are currently experimenting with new formats with clients;
- Introduced regular NPS surveys of clients and actively incorporate client feedback into our work;
- Established a working process pairing recruiters and sourcers and accelerated the hiring process.
Team:
- Reviewed job offers for the team and implemented a process of regular reviews;
- Introduced monthly planning and analysis of key performance indicators;
- Implemented goals and metrics for the entire team's work;
- New processes for faster vacancy closures;
- Internal English lessons;
- Monthly training with demonstrations of results, which have been incorporated into our work.
What Are the Current Results?
We have achieved the forecasted results in all areas of the company, and we analyze progress weekly. With each iteration, we add new tools to strengthen our clients' teams.
What Challenges Did We Face?
There were enough challenges this year, and they are still here. But now we have learned how to turn them into positives for us and grow. Every month, we analyze successful actions and implement them regularly.
The main challenges were:
- Hiring a new COO;
- Building the lead generation process (currently, for example, we are dealing with the aftermath of our domain being affected by email campaigns, and we are fixing it);
- Creating a new Instagram account (due to issues with the advertising account, we had to completely move to a new account).
What Lies Ahead?
We are analyzing our indicators and conducting a strategic session, setting goals for the next year.
We will talk about our 2023 year in numbers in the next article!
Many ideas and goals lie ahead! We are ready for new challenges. As a team, we learn and implement knowledge to be better for our clients.
