Career path story with recruitment partner of EvoTalents Julia

Evotalents
Evotalents July 10, 2023

It was Summer 2022 when recruiting partner Julia joined the EvoTalents team. She immediately conquered everyone with her sincere smile, sparkle in her eyes and desire to grow as a professional. And all this despite the fact that she had to change her job in the very midst of the war. Earlier, we wrote about this situation in Julia’s life. Therefore, if you doubt whether it is worth taking a risk and changing the company or even the direction of your profession, then we advise you to read Juli's advice in this article.

Julia has been a member of the EvoTalents team for a year now. She learned a lot, taught us a lot. But we have never asked Julia what exactly brought her to where she is now. What a path she went through in order to be a professional in her field and a good person. Therefore, we suggest you read our blitz interview to get to know better the faces of those who offer high-quality IT recruitment to both Ukrainian and foreign companies every day.

  • How long ago did recruiting appear in your life? Where did it all start?

I started to be interested in this in 2017, when I worked in a clothing store (Zara). In 2018, I started working as an HR Assistant in an IT company, and part of my tasks was related to finding people to the team. But it became my commitment one hundred percent in 2021.

  • Why did you choose IT recruiting?

Maybe because this area has been trending for a long time. I like IT for its pace and attitude towards development.

  • What did working at EvoTalents teach you?

Working at EvoTalents taught me that learning and working at the same time is real. And it can help to be on the same page in the field of recruiting.

  • What qualities do you value most in your colleagues?

The most valuable thing for me was that I had a supportive team. Because this year there were a lot of days for Ukrainians when we were not focused. But when you feel that your team is ready to support you at any moment, it gives you wings!

  • What are the most important challenges in your work?

As Coach Lasso says, "Believe" :) In my work, you need to approach the word "no" philosophically and believe that you will be able to find that treasure for your client.

  • The most favorite and not cool work processes for you? Why?

It really depends on the mood. There are days when sourcing is like therapy for me. And vice versa, when I want speed, communication.

  • How do you relax from work? What helps you to recover?

Yoga and spending time with loved ones help me recover. I like to walk, play table tennis, read, listen to music, and go to concerts.

  • If you can, tell us about your biggest fuckup at work.

Somewhere in 2019, I made my first offers and entered the wrong amount of money for salary. It was severe stress, I’d thought I would’ve been fired. But they decided to withdraw the insufficient amount from me and my boss for several months. Since then, I have checked everything several times.

  • If you could change one thing in the IT recruiting world, what would it be?

Interesting question. I think I will answer as a girl. But still, I believe that politeness could make a big difference. Due to the fact that we are all human, everyone can fuckup. But not everyone can relate to this with understanding.
