In addition to the team of recruiters and sourcers, EvoTalents also has a marketing department. It is small, but very important for creating the company's brand image in social media and the digital world in general. And since we love to introduce you to our wonderful team, we invite you to meet Anastasia, our Brand Manager, in this article. As usual, we do this in the format of a short interview.
Tell us about yourself: where are you from, what are your hobbies, what are your dreams and goals?
I am from Kherson, but I have lived in Odessa for the last 7 years. I graduated from the university there with a degree in journalism. And just recently, a month ago, I moved to London. So, a kind of new stage in my life is beginning ;)
As for hobbies: I am into yoga, I love reading both fiction (Stephen King) and scientific books (psychology, self-development, etc.). I am also delighted with traveling. And, probably, my global goals now are also dedicated to this.
Among my dreams: to return to safe Kherson with my whole family and celebrate the winter holidays there.
Why marketing? How did you understand that you wanted to develop in this direction?
I think deep down I always knew that this was my thing. But for a very long time I didn’t want to admit it to myself. That’s why I managed to work in the press and learn UI/UX design. But it all came down to the fact that one day I plunged into the world of SMM, and I liked it. From there I started learning. First content creation, then copywriting, then target audience analysis, and so on down the list. What I like about marketing is its versatility and the ability to use different tools. The work is never monotonous.
How did you meet EvoTalents?
It’s simple: I was looking for a job, and EvoTalents were looking for a brand manager. I sent my CV and met the founder of the company, Elena, at the first interview. I didn't know anything about EvoTalents then, and I was hearing about recruiting for the first time. It's so funny now, because I've been working in the team for a year and a half now and I know the entire base of recruiting in IT. But at the very beginning, I asked every term again and was afraid that I understood something incorrectly.
But in general, yes. The story of how we met is standard. But I remember that I was really surprised by the fact that I was given feedback at all stages of the interview. It was very nice. Because at the same time, I was applying for several more vacancies in other companies. Where, for example, after completing the test task, which took me about 4 hours, they simply ignored me. So I was really pleasantly surprised by the level of responsibility and attentive attitude towards me as a candidate.
What do you value most in your colleagues and the corporate culture of the company?
A lot! Firstly, I really like that everyone on our team is ready to help each other, even if it goes beyond their responsibilities. Secondly, the lack of micromanagement. This allows you to take responsibility for your actions, which is really cool. I also really appreciate the opportunity to work together with real professionals in their field, adopting their experience.
What are your tasks as a brand manager?
In fact, there are a lot of them and they are very different. Every day my work can be different, and this is cool. If we talk about the main points, I can highlight the following:
- Managing social media (mainly Instagram and LinkedIn);
- Writing articles for our blog;
- Preparing SEO texts;
- Communicating with a designer, programmer, SEO and Google Ads specialists;
- Creating a content plan;
- Marketing newsletters;
- Conducting live broadcasts on Instagram.
Also, some other moments are added every time. For example, creating reels or analyzing the target audience, competitors. In general, the tasks are really different, and I really enjoy it.
What responsibilities do you like the most? And which ones are more difficult?
I can’t highlight anything specific. The main thing here is to catch the right mood and moment for each task. Lately, I really like doing live broadcasts on Instagram. Usually, I act as an interviewer for someone from our team. We talk about professional topics and share experiences with our community.
As for the difficulties, there are rather moments that simply require more time. These include more fundamental tasks. Such as, for example, analytical articles or video editing.
What are the current goals for the development of EvoTalents from the marketing side?
Now we are striving to get more leads from the marketing side. Therefore, we started working with Google Ads and are already seeing the first results. By the end of the year, we want to bring this area to stable indicators.
We are also working on the structure of the site, constantly making changes that will help organically promote the site using SEO in the future.
And, of course, we will begin to prepare for the holiday season [summing up] and adjust marketing activities to the topics relevant to the end of the year.
And finally, I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to our LiknedIn. There we share all the team news and reveal a lot of useful information that will probably be useful for anyone who is looking for talent. And it is also cozy, bright and always interesting.
