Hello! Before we start talking about your professional activities, it is very interesting to know more about you as a person. Where are you from? What are your hobbies? What do you value most in life and what personal goals do you set?

I'm from Chernivtsi, a picturesque city with Austrian architecture in Western Ukraine. Among my hobbies I can highlight sports - basketball, volleyball, tennis. Most of all I value Christian moral values ​​in people. Kindness, sincerity, mercy - these are the traits that attract me most. I also really like persistent and smart people who have been able to achieve success through their efforts. Such life stories inspire me and give me an example.

How did you find out about sourcing? What did you like most in the profession?

I became acquainted with sourcing in 2020. The most interesting thing is working side by side with IT specialists. Be “on trend” with all the new products in the digital industry and look for all sorts of “detective” ways to find candidates.

Why did you choose the IT field? Perhaps there are some differences or features that attracted you?

I generally like the technology industry, there is an opportunity to learn something new every day. This is very motivating and adds strength to my work.

Tell us please how you and EvoTalents found each other and how you understood it was a match?

First of all, I submitted my CV, and after a while the recruiter wrote to me and offered to have a call. It was very easy and pleasant communication. I realized that this was a match when I became more familiar with the culture, structure, and internal processes of the company. In general, there were a lot of points that we immediately agreed on.

What do you like most about your job right now?

Distribution of roles, tracking results, the latest approaches to organizing work in the company. Good internal chemistry, no conflicts. Perhaps most of all - the company leaders and my colleagues. EvoTalents doesn’t hire random people - I enjoy collaborating with high-quality professionals in their field.

What professional goals do you set for yourself in the near future and what helps you achieve them?

Reach at least the level of Senior Specialist. Maybe I will move to a managerial position in the future. Internal motivation and environment help the most. You can't stay at the same level when everyone around you is developing. You feel somehow “incomplete”. The team plays a very important factor in this.

Your TOP tips that you can give to newcomers to the profession:

  • Don't give up when things don't work out.
  • Do not jump from one industry to another, devote your time to development in one direction.
  • Find a mentor who can advise in different situations.
  • Constantly improve your English.
  • Never become arrogant, even despite great success.

What mistakes do you think sourcers most often make (maybe you have your own experience) and how can they be avoided?

Sourcers often lack a systematic approach to their work. The time allocated for vacancies is not tracked, market analysis is not done, and sometimes search sources change chaotically. This approach will not give a positive result. It is necessary to competently build a sourcing strategy. This will save time, energy and moral resources.
