About IT recruitment process and lead generation
What does lead generation mean personally for you?
Lead generation is now an integral part of a company's sales chain, as it is the one that seeks potential clients and "warms them up." The lead generator establishes the first contact with potential clients and presents your products or services.
Patience should be the lead generator's second name because not everything is as fast as it may seem at first glance. It would be great, of course, if contracts were signed immediately after the first email. You need to be prepared for negative responses and being ignored, but don't give up.
Persistence is the third name of a lead generator. Here, the ability to focus on one task for a long time is very important. As for me, I switched from recruiting to lead generation. I wasn't afraid of a certain monotony of the work, and when the match happened between me and EvoTalents, I started launching my first campaigns and receiving interested responses. I realized that it drives me and motivates me.
IT companies recruitment process
or why do you need lead generation
What are your responsibilities? Do you have favorite processes?
My responsibilities include:
- Lead generation, i.e., collecting contacts of potential clients.
- Coming up with new hypotheses for lead generation and creating search queries.
- Pre-validation of contacts and data cleansing.
- Writing emails and creating email campaigns.
- Communication with potential leads before calling.
- Campaign analysis.
As for my favorite processes, it's probably working on inquiries and responses from leads and managing them in the CRM system, as well as data collection and working with data. I think for every lead generator, the most enjoyable thing is seeing the results and the dynamics of their work. In those moments, you realize that it's all worth it.
Lead generation is always about testing. We can't always predict what will work at a given time. Therefore, the first process you should be prepared for and dedicate a lot of attention and time to is detailed analysis and constant testing.
Another process that requires preparation is generating new hypotheses and ideas. Often, to propose and implement an idea, you need to occasionally gather new information, learn, and "keep your finger on the pulse," conduct additional research on various aspects, such as market analysis, communication specifics, etc. So, a lead generator is not just a person who sends you annoying emails. There are many different activities behind it.
