Recruitment Job through the Eyes of the EvoTalents Team

Evotalents July 25, 2023

There are already millions of articles on the Internet about what IT recruitment is. Finding such information is not difficult. However, getting it firsthand from professionals in the field of IT recruitment is a real treasure. In this article, we talk to the EvoTalents team about the peculiarities of working in the agency and, of course, we don't shy away from asking them provocative questions about their toughest challenges.

Who is an IT Recruiter?

In different agencies, the concept of recruitment and the approaches to it vary. Similarly, the general views on the work of a recruiter differ. We asked our recruitment partners what they imagined this profession to be before mastering it. Did their imagination match reality? Our enthusiastic girls give the answers.

Ilona is the first to share such positive thoughts! By the way, she actively combines motherhood and her career, and we are proud that EvoTalents allows such an opportunity.

"As Sherlock Holmes said, 'Work is the best antidote to sorrow!' That's exactly what being a recruiter means to me. My profession is all about unconventional approaches, creativity, and flexibility in establishing connections with different people. So, you need to have plenty of energy because the whole job is about communication, which is a special kind of satisfaction for me"

And this is Julia. You may have already seen her. If not, now is your chance to fix it. After all, she can become your reliable recruitment partner tomorrow!

Julia has been with the EvoTalents team for more than a year, so she also answers the question very confidently:

"I thought that the job of a recruiter was all about communication. But it turned out there is so much more to it! It involves a variety of tasks that develop you from different perspectives, especially soft skills. For example, I believe that for an interviewer, it's essential to develop the skill of active listening. And a well-developed adaptability skill is also very helpful in personal life"

IT Recruiter Responsibilities: What We Do and Why

If you ask anyone, even yourself, you will definitely be able to distinguish what you like about your job and what you don't. This doesn't make your profession imperfect. On the contrary, thanks to new challenges every day, we have the opportunity to learn and develop skills we never even thought of. Not to mention stepping out of the comfort zone, as growth begins right beyond its borders.

What does our recruiting team think about it? Let's find out!

Julia humorously expresses her thoughts:

"I'm the person from the meme, who needs to prepare for a call and recover after it. I love creating this stress, and then I am very proud of myself. My favorite process is to make offers. In fact, the diversity of processes gives me energy. Sourcing helps me immerse myself in the process. Communicating with candidates and clients is an opportunity to meet very different and interesting people"

Meet Ilona, our business lady. In fact, we haven't seen anyone anywhere else but at EvoTalents, who so skillfully combines professional expertise with care for clients and candidates.

Ilona answers our questions as always informatively and frankly:

"All the processes are interesting to me in their own way, but I can highlight outreach and interview moderation. Outreach - because I enjoy experimenting with my emails, changing approaches, and making a thorough research to personalize them as much as possible to catch the candidate's attention. I would like to believe that my emails stand out from the rest. Interviews are also fascinating. I prepare in advance, study the candidate's profile, and think through questions and answers that are important to hear to determine the match for the vacancy/company. In the process of selling a vacancy, I try to emphasize what matters most to the candidate, as it's all about caring"

On such a positive note, we end the series of questions from the marketing department. The team exhales and goes to work further!
