Our client is looking for a BI & Data Solutions Developer to build reliable data pipelines, analytical data models, Power BI solutions, and AI-enabled BI applications. You'll work across the full flow - from source systems to dashboards and AI-powered experiences - designing solutions, not just building dashboards.
Tech Stack
Power BI, Google BigQuery, PostgreSQL, Dataform, SQL-based ETL/ELT, Python, APIs, Git, Claude Code and other AI-assisted dev tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Design data models (fact/dimension tables, star schemas) for reporting and analytics
- Build and maintain SQL-based ETL/ELT pipelines from various sources into BigQuery
- Develop Power BI reports, semantic models, DAX measures, and RLS
- Contribute to AI-enabled BI web apps (dashboards + chat + AI-generated insights) using tools like Claude Code
- Investigate data issues, optimize performance/cost, document solutions, support production
Mandatory Requirements
- 2+ years in BI development, analytics engineering, or data engineering
- Strong SQL (joins, window functions, optimization)
- Experience with dimensional/relational data modeling
- Hands-on ETL/ELT development (not just consuming datasets)
- Practical experience with Power BI or a similar enterprise BI tool
- Understanding of semantic modeling, measures, and filter context
- Experience with data testing, monitoring, or observability
- Ability to investigate technical problems independently and explain your reasoning
- Git experience
- English B2+, strong self-learner, comfortable with AI-assisted dev tools
Big Pluses
Advanced DAX, BigQuery, Dataform/dbt, star-schema design at scale, Power BI administration/deployment, AI coding tools (Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor), Python, experience building internal/AI-powered apps.
Open to Alternative Backgrounds
Tableau/Looker/Qlik instead of Power BI, dbt/Airflow/SSIS instead of Dataform, Snowflake/Redshift/SQL Server instead of BigQuery — as long as you can explain your architecture and trade-offs.
