Our client is a Ukrainian indie gamedev studio creating immersive ARPG projects with deep worlds influenced by Ukrainian mythology. They focus on clear processes and a healthy team culture.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in a COO / Operations Manager / Project Director / Producer role.
- Experience managing teams in gamedev, IT, or creative studios.
- Hands-on experience specifically in a game development studio.
- Strong understanding of production processes in game development or digital product development.
- Experience working with Agile / Scrum / Kanban or hybrid models.
- Ability to manage deadlines, resources, and priorities.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Analytical thinking and the ability to make data-driven management decisions.
- Working English proficiency(B2+) for internal documentation and communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing the studio’s day-to-day operational processes.
- Building and optimizing internal development pipelines (design, art, development, QA).
- Coordinating work across teams: game design, development, art, production, finance.
- Tracking execution of plans, deadlines, and project milestones.
- Implementing planning systems (sprints, roadmaps, production schedules).
- Identifying process bottlenecks and eliminating them systematically.
- Managing risks: timelines, resources, priorities.
- Contributing to strategic decisions together with the CEO and CFO.
- Supporting a healthy work environment and effective team communication.
- Establishing reporting standards and ensuring process transparency.
Nice to Have:
- Participation in launching or scaling a studio and/or a project.
- Understanding of Dev Lead, Game Designer, Producer roles and how they collaborate.
- Experience managing remote or hybrid teams.
- Interest in ARPG, dark fantasy, or narrative-driven games.
- Understanding of financial and production KPIs.
