We are looking for a Manual QA Engineer for a British media company. You will work with the existing London and Ukraine development teams.

It is headquartered in London and has 28 offices in the world’s principal commodity trading and production centers. The company produces price assessments and analyses of international energy and other commodity markets and offers bespoke consulting services and industry-leading conferences.
Key responsibilities
• Plan to test
• Promote and implement the company test Strategy
• Provide adequate documentation for each test phase
• Providing adequate detail on the quality status of a feature or features within a development cycle to the dev team and stakeholders
• Conduct functional testing activities during an agile development cycle
• Conduct testing against industry standard CRM and ERP platforms
• Create and maintain a comprehensive regression pack across multiple platforms
• Provide QA based input during sprint ceremonies
• Guide and lead the development team in the application and design of quality measurement approaches and techniques
• Perform data validation and reconciliation between systems to ensure accuracy and integrity
• Identify and document defects clearly and track them through resolution using defect management tools
Skills and Experience
• A strong background and understanding of workflow-based testing
• Challenge assumptions with logical reasoning
• Experience of collaborating with programmers and analysts within the business systems domain
• Desire and capability to learn new technologies
• Demonstrate the use and advantages of heuristic evaluation during software testing
• Knowledge of Agile methodology and processes as a tester
• Design and facilitate UAT sessions
• A working knowledge of current test management software (e.g. Jira, TestRail)
• Ability to write clear, concise test cases and maintain traceability to requirements
Additionally, the following would be valuable:
• Experience and exposure to customer relationship management systems (such as Salesforce) and processes
• Working within a cloud-based infrastructure such as AWS or Azure
• Basic SQL skills for querying and validating data
• Understanding of API testing concepts and tools (e.g., Postman)
