Our client is a market-leading Education Technology (EdTech) company that is making a significant investment in expanding its product offerings.
They have achieved strong product market fit and are focused on integrating cutting-edge technologies, including Generative AI and Machine Learning, to transform the learning experience for their customers. This organization highly values delivering meaningful educational outcomes rather than simply creating compliance tools.
We are seeking an experienced Product Owner (PO) to own, develop, and oversee the implementation of the product roadmap during this period of substantial technological change and rapid expansion. This is a new, crucial role, and the successful candidate will work closely with the Chief Product Officer (CPO) and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to drive innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop the overall product roadmap, translating the client’s business objectives into clear development goals.
• Coordinate Agile projects, manage the product backlog, and lead cross-timezone technical teams.
• Implement best practices in systems and processes, driving continuous improvement in development velocity and user adoption.
• Engage with senior stakeholders (up to the CEO level), gather feedback, and adjust strategy based on market trends.
• Lead the integration of generative AI and other advanced technologies.
• Utilize data-driven decision making to inform product direction.
• Act as the CPO’s 2IC, maintaining capacity to step in and lead the product independently when necessary.
• Ensure the product focus remains on delivering educational outcomes and solving user friction points, recognizing the goal is to deliver a product, not a project.
Qualifications:
• Experience: Proven experience in Product Ownership, ideally within EdTech or other outcome-focused verticals.
• Technical Aptitude: Strong technical skills and experience collaborating with software development teams.
• Methodologies: Proficiency in Agile methodologies.
• AI/ML Knowledge: Knowledge of current AI trends and technologies, with the ability to form strong opinions on how the development process and the product itself are evolving due to AI.
• Team Leadership: Experience managing remote, cross-cultural teams.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills and very confident English fluency (Very confident English).
• Strategic Focus: Strategic thinker with the ability to drive innovation and a proven track record of improving development velocity and user adoption rates.
