As a business, we continue to grow and evolve, adding new markets, new services, new delivery options and improved analytical tools. ArgusMedia is an independent media organisation with 1,200 staff. It is headquartered in London and has 28 offices in the world’s principal commodity trading and production centers. The company produces price assessments and analyses of international energy and other commodity markets and offers bespoke consulting services and industry-leading conferences.
The Role:
This is a hands-on role where your focus is on gathering requirements, writing stories, crafting mock- ups, defining business processes, identifying improvements and communicating with business partners to ensure delivery of the right product at the right time.
Key responsibilities:
- Liaise with business owners to engineer requirements
- Facilitate workshops and deliver presentations to capture requirements
- Create user stories ensuring accuracy and clarity
- Develop scenarios for front-end web, mobile and analytical user experiences
- Produce lo-fi designs and proof of concepts
- Develop workflow models, processes, applications, and data dictionaries
- Review features with the developers and QA team
- Keep the Product backlog up-to-date and prioritised ahead of development
- Attend regular user forums to drive product improvements
- Support users with product knowledge during training, UAT and go live
- Strengthen the delivery team’s working relationships with business partners.
Skills and Experience:
- Good communication skills and ability to facilitate workshops
- Strong IT research, software analysis and design skills
- Experience of working in an agile environment
- Experience with JIRA and Confluence
- Knowledge of data modelling
- Understanding of web applications including RESTful APIs
- Experience working with remote development teams
- Experience with Balsamiq, Axure or other lo-fi design tools
